Sept. 10 (Juba NSV) — Attack took place Sunday in Jau in oil-rich Unity state, in the border with Sudan, Foreign Minister Barnaba Marial Benjamin said Tuesday by phone.

*”Spoilers” in Sudan are to be blamed for the attack which he said killed two South Sudanese soldiers, Benjamin said.

*South Sudan’s investigating the incident, he said.

*“There’re few elements [in Sudan] who are opposed to see this positive relationship that’s growing” between the two countries, he said.

*Attack came less than a week after President Salva Kiir visited Sudan, where he agreed with his counterpart, President Omar Bashir for the South Sudanese oil to continue to flow to Sudan without any shutdown threat.

*Benjamin said “our relations are proceeding in the new page of cooperation” with Sudan despite the setback.
