Ajuong Sudanese Community Fundraising for Paliau High School Project and Memorial Service on August 29th, 2015

 

         It is our pleasure and privilege as the Ajuong Sudanese Community in the USA to announce to the public and potential guests that the Ajuong Sudanese Community, Inc, is going to hold the Fundraising Event, Community Reunion, and Memorial Services for our community victims who were murdered by David Yau Yau’s rebels at the Paliau District attack, South Sudan, in Oct. 2013, and this upcoming event will take place on August 29th and August 30th, 2015 at Boston, MA and we are earnestly extending our invitation to all of you to attend the Ajuong Community annual gathering.

     The Ajuong Sudanese Community, Inc, is a nonprofit organization based in the USA that provides a learning opportunity to promote physical, social and emotional development in the lives of many children of South Sudan by inspiring, enlightening and challenging students to learn, accomplish academic and social goals. As you may know, our community continues raising money to build a High School at Paliau district in South Sudan. We would like to assure all the donors that ASC is the IRS registered nonprofit organization and all donations we may receive from you will be documented and the IRS tax credit form will be sent to you via mail or email address that you may provide to us.

      We would be very grateful to those individuals and organizations who may willingly open their generous hearts and extend their hands to assist our Ajuong Community in reaching our goal to build the High School at Paliau town.       Once again, please be informed that all American and South Sudanese friends, the entire public, leaders and members from Twic East County, Duk County, Bor County, and other Dinka and South Sudanese Communities are cordially invited to attend and support the Ajuong Community fundraising event.      We want to inform everyone that this is our second big fundraising event in the USA and the first fundraising event ever in the East Coast region and we humbly encourage you all to come and meet your relatives and friends whom you may not have met or not seen for the past years we have been here in the USA. The fundraising event, the traditional dance of Jieng or Dinka, and a night party to be led by DJ will take place on Saturday, August 29th, and the Ajuong Community Reunion and the Community leadership renewal meeting, and Memorial services will happen on Sunday 30th, 2015. The event will be held at St. Grace Church at the address 67 Norwood Street, Everett, MA 02149. Please don’t hesitate to contact Daumajok Nun at (781) 533-8263 and Jokgutamour Garang at (781) 346-5957 for any concern and question that you may have about the venue of the event and directions and hotels information. In addition, all our Ajuong Community members in Boston, MA and New York state are available and ready to assist you with any information you may need regarding the directions to the scheduled event.

      At the event’s opening on Saturday, August 29th, there will be DJ’s performance and Jieng or Dinka traditional live performances by our Ajuong Artists; Atemajith Garang, Daumajok Nun, and Jokgutamour Garang who will present their own folks songs in Dinka dialect, and we are kindly asking everyone to arrive on time not to miss out all these wonderful performances. The building’s doors will open to the general public and everyone at 1:00 PM EST on both Saturday and Sunday and the event activities will end 2:00 AM EST. Please bear in mind that ‘Bul de Jieng’ or Dinka traditional dance will continue on Sunday before the Memorial Services started. Lastly but not least, we inform everyone that parking is available in the community center parking lots and residential
streets.
