WRESTLING COMPETITION ANNOUNCEMENT!
EAST COAST vs WEST COAST ON SATURDAY, JULY 4, 2015
BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS, NEW ENGLAND, UNITED STATES

As the leaders of both South Sudan’s Greater Bor teams hailing from two regions of the United States (East Coast and West Coast), we hereby announce the resumption of our wrestling competition scheduled on American Independent Day, Saturday, July 4, 2015 at 1 pm in Boston, Massachusetts, United States.

We invite our fans, future opponents, friends, well-wishers, and leaders of our communities here in the United States and around the world to come and enjoy watching the wrestling competition between our phenomenal teams which in 2013 successfully championed, heralded, and trail blazed the idea of practicing Dinka wrestling competition in the West. We did it and we weren’t surprised that our brothers and sisters in Australia followed the suit. We hope this wonderful Dinka sporting exercise will continue to be practiced, emulated, and sustained in the communities where our people live around the world and back in South Sudan.

This could not have happened without the heavy lifting by our current and would be wrestlers. We thank you our young people for listening to the coaching directives from our phenomenal coaches: Dau Nuul Garang (Ayoom), Mangok Mach Bol (Achieng tiit Mior aka Muor bii Wong Bei, also Green) (of the East), and Makech Kuol Mabil (of the West) to step forward and became and continue to remain our star wrestlers. You are doing this in the name of our community and of our country, The Republic of South Sudan. Congratulations to the coaches and wrestlers on the job well done.

As we make this announcement, we reflect on the crisis that has befallen our young nation of South Sudan. We mourn the loss of innocent lives and innocent souls that got trampled on during this senseless and uncalled for civil war. But we also know that peace can be pursued and achieved on multiple fronts and one of those fronts is sports undergirded by peaceful and civil traditional cultural festivities which in our case is summed up in traditional wrestling contest. Thus, we are doing this in the name of peace in South Sudan in this New Year, 2015.

We look forward to welcoming you to our New England Great City of Boston, Massachusetts on what may be a warm summer day on Saturday, July 4, 2015 to enjoy watching wrestling match during the day and closing reception in the evening.

Again, see you in Boston, Massachusetts on Saturday, July 4, 2015. All questions regarding this US based Dinka traditional wrestling competition should be directed to the offices of the undersigned team leaders.

Sincerely,
Jacob Aguer Ajang, President – West Coast Team
Nhial Kon Chaw, Acting President – East Coast Team
