Nov. 13, 07 (Bor NSV) - Following a series of killings, raids and abductions, the Murle militia have struck again on Friday. The Murle invaders shot a young girl dead and took a 13 year old boy, Keer, son of a local Adumuor clan Chief, Dhoor Riak in Makuac Payam on the outskirts of town centre where his parents moved to seek security from the Murle attacking their village.

“Murles no longer hide in bushes but are around in state capital Bor where they spend their days’ hours and move at evening to cause crises in villages; yet no investigation on their constant moves,” said Thon Ateny. “The Murle while firing entered immediately to the house and shot a small girl dead, came out with Keer Dhoor who ran inside for help.”

The dead girl is identified as daughter of Madhoor Alier from Koch, Kapat Boma, Makuac payam. She was with her maternal uncles in Palei at Kucdok clan, Anyidi Payam in Bor County.

Meetings are taking place from youths on how to solve Murle’ killings and abductions. According to other sources, Murle working in Bor have got links with raiders since majority bought THURAYAS in bush in order to facilitate their communications with a group of insiders who give them information. “There was one of the nights a car with no number plate was found at Atet Road around 11:00PM driven by suspected Murle (Stephen), later assumed as National Security’s car,” said an informant, Makuei.
