Legendary South Sudanese singer Panchol Deng Ajang to perform in Winnipeg

Prominent Artist and Veteran Singer Panchol Deng Ajang is coming to Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada, where he will be performing on December 14, 2013.


PancholWe are cordially extending our invitation to the nearby provinces in Canada and states across the U.S. to join us in support of our legendary singer’s performance especially Jesh el Amer who are familiar with Deng’s songs.


Winnipeg, Canada will mark the final lap of Panchol Deng Ajang’s tour of Canada before he returns to South Sudan, so we are strongly encouraging our neighbours to attend his last performance.


 Deng came to Canada a couple of months ago as part of the promotion of South Sudanese music, culture and history.


Deng, whose legendary songs are mostly in Dinka, is a prominent, well-known artist and a veteran who has been instrumental during the liberation struggle. He has evolved from a traditional singer and revered composer of encouraging and inspiring revolutuionary songs to a 21st Century musician,composing songs for an indepndent South Sudan.
